One side of our lights don't work. I talked to a tech about access to the wires so I can check for a loose connection. He told me their is no access. You need to pull the light strip off to pull the wire out of the hole. Problem is the hole is only big enough for the wire and not the connector. Said you need to drill a bigger hole around the wire the same width as the light strip to pull the connector thru. Put it back together and caulk the hole then cover the hole with the light strip. If this is true I won't be fixing the lights. Not worth drilling a bigger hole thru the front cap for a light I never use.
I was told to just pull the wires out as far as I can, then secure them so they don't fall back inside. Cut the wires leaving them as long as possible then crimp them to the wires from the new unit. The dealer is giving me the crimp connectors when I pick up the lights. I will try to get pics when I do the replacement.
