Many of you know that our 337 was suffering from quite a few defects which our dealer's service department wasn't capable of fixing. After discussing the situation with GD management, the best solution was to send the rig back to Indiana so it could be brought up to the standards we all expect. Several of the issues were caused by damage that the dealership inflicted during initial delivery. Other issues were with the cabinets which had some manufacturing defects. So we created a punch list of items that needed fixing, and sent it back to Indiana.

We received a message that the rig was back in Tucson and we just picked it up. Ginnie and I did a walk through with the punch list and every item was corrected. The workmanship far surpassed our expectations. The interior panel that was ink and bleach stained by a dealer employee looks brand new. All the cabinet defects have been resolved. Every item on our punch list was addressed. GD even found a few things that we'd missed that they took care of. I can't imagine the hassle we would have had if we were dealing with another company. GD builds a great product, but every once in a while, things can go wrong. It's nice to know they have our back.

Here's a picture we just snapped while picking up the rig at the dealership. It's time to load this baby up and hit the road.

Great news Jim! I'm glad she's back and ready to go. Thanks for the info you gave me on the phone a couple weeks ago!
Good luck and safe travels!

Glad to hear it is all taken care of. What an awesome company! It may have been a little inconvenient to be without your rig, but for them to take it back to IN and fix everthing you found and then some...unheard of! Great job GD!
Now get out there and make up for lost time Jim & Gennie. Have fun and enjoy it like it was new all over again.

I am glade that GD took care of the issues that came up. But, this post makes me a bit leery about bringing my unit back to my dealer to have my list of things fixed. Hope it gets fixed and not damaged more.

I know you are happy to have your Reflection back.

Last year at the Owners Rally we met quite a few of the Grand Design employees and you could see the pride they have in the product they make. Meeting the Grand Design Owners, Managers, and some of the employees, just proved we made the right decision with buying our Solitude from this new company.

I wouldn't worry too much about potential damage. Ours was truly an accident and was not intentional on the part of the employee. She had a leaking pen in her back pocket, and brushed her hind side against the interior panel opposite the bathroom door. Then, when she saw what she had done, she tried to remove it with bleach which removed the color in the panel, but not the ink. The dealership didn't have a clue how to repair it. The interior panel is bonded to the panel itself. GD's techs were able to remove the material and replace it. It really looks like new again. Of course, while it was in the shop, they took care of my punch list that the dealer could have done, but it was much quicker because GD has all the parts in stock.

Outstanding news, Jim ! It seems an industry leading model for delivering prompt, quality, and effective service (where GDRV would be another industry leader) would be to continue expanding the factory service centers around the country. If 20 or so of these were located in key market areas, it would seem most of us could get truly cutting edge factory service traveling a few hundred miles.......definitely worth it !

That's awesome news Jim! We're out in ours right now and I'm sure you're anxious! So, what are your camping plans over the next couple months?

Happy for you Jim! So great to hear yet another example of Grand Design putting their money where their mouth is in the name of excellent customer service. I know they have gone above and beyond for us on some things we wanted changed when we purchased our 337. By the way, love the picture! Safe travels..
