We are packed with a canoe and two grandsons headed out for the next week to Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge , TN. Looking forward to lot of fun!!

We were in Gatlinburg this past week and stopped by Anchor Down this morning to check it out. Really nice campground with great sites. We will definitely be staying there our next trip up.

Don't forget to hit the go cart tracks, putt putt golf and factory outlets of Pigeon Forge. It's a very inexpensive place to go on vacation--if the shopping wasn't so doggone great.

We plan on hitting Dollywood later in the Summer and the Apple Barn for lunch (when its cheaper.)

I will also be staying home this weekend and getting ready for my trip to the Grand Canyon. Will be leaving next Thursday and will be gone for a month. I have the trailer all packed and ready to go. I have been looking forward to going to the Grand Canyon for over a year, sure hope it is as exciting as I am anticipating. Hope everybody else has a great time on their trips and lets all be safe.

Been in Pigeon Forge, TN at the Pine Mountain RV for the past 4 weeks - outstanding park...bathrooms and showers are tiled/granite, and superior clean.

Facility is great and close to all the good stuff. Bought season passes to Dollywood and Splash country-been 6 times already.

We're 10 days away from our first real road trip with our 337. Right now, we have about 10K miles planned. Arizona to California, North to Washington, East to Maine, south to Louisiana, and finally home. We think about 3-4 months ought to be enough time to beat the summer heat in Arizona.

Good luck to you, Jim and Ginnie. You're indeed brave taking such an odyssey. My father always talked about taking such a journey, but we never had the time and/or the money to hit the road to do it. I see you have the truck and trailer to do it with, however.

Anchor Down Trip

Well all I can say is our first four days at Anchor Down RV Resort have been fabulous! We swim, we eat, we go to the man made white sand beach, we eat, we fish, we eat, we go to the pool, we eat, we canoe and we eat some more!!
David ask about our sleeping arrangements-we bought a Serta queen size blow up mattress from Sams. It fits perfect in front of the couches. We put the daughter and one grandson on that and the other grandson on the couch. They said the mattress slept pretty darn well!
We too, like others have so much interest in our Solitude! People want to look inside and ask a lot of questions. We are so proud to show it off and explain how great Grand Design is.
Our 4th trip out and we couldn't be more pleased!

Sandi, I see you are in site 62. When we were there last Friday looking around, we made note of site 60 thru 63 as sites we would like. Also, site 20, up on the hill with the fireplace, would be great during the fall and early spring when it's to chilly for the beach.

We have booked site 27 up on the hill for the 3rd week of September after the rally. We really have been comfortable here. Just such a nice place to stay. Seems like the staff is constantly working to make sure everything is perfect! So glad you guys found it also. Allen and I were saying yesterday we can't imagine staying at any other campground when we come back to this area!

Great pictures and looks like a great place and a great time. I think we'll have to try it some time. The only time we got to the Smokies I was still working and it rained the entire week. Beware the car rally in Pigeon F

WE have been here many times for the car rally! Allen not only loves his woodworking and his motorcycles, he also has a 1970 Nova SS that he has restored. Can you say--"too many toy?"!!!!
