We had to evacuate because of the Alexander Fire. We had been thinking about purchasing an Imagine XLS MKE17.

After a miserable night in a hotel with our two dogs, we drove to Cheyenne, Wyoming and bought the Imagine. We were in an RV Campsite the same night.

I have so many questions that the manual does not answer

That's a rather abrupt entry into RVing! Sorry about your misfortune - and welcome to the forum.

You can use the search function or go to the specific/topical subforum areas and find an enormous amount of information. If you can't find what you're after, go to the appropriate section and ask away.

You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

Note: you'll need to have a paid subscription to add an image to your signature.

Welcome to the forum, so sorry to hear about the circumstances that accelerated your joining. There are many experienced folks here who are willing to share their knowledge, ask away.

Hi there also from Loveland.
We avoided the evacuation by about 1/2 mile (it stopped right around Devil's Backbone). A few of my friends south of 34 near Carter Lake just decided to lie low and not leave.

We do a fair amount of camping around home here - often to Boyd Lake, but also to St. Vrain, Horsetooth, Estes, and Flatiron. I'm heading over to Kremmling/Wolford Reservoir this weekend for a few days.

I think you'll like having an RV here in Colorado. There are HEAPS of places to go - both in RV parks and boondocking.

Welcome aboard. Running from fire is as good a reason as any to start RVing. The getaway choices are endless. It's what we do when weather threatens here in the flatlands of FL.

Our youngest son and family just moved back to Co from SC. They are in Ft Collins now. We'll check it out next May; hoping to stay at Horsetooth SP.
