My husband and I just traded in a Forest River Crusader & purchased a New 2023 Grand Design Solitude 380FL R

We will be doing our walk-through and taking possession this Thursday

We previously owned a Forest River Travel Trailer (before the Crusader), so we have some experience with the RV life but are 100% new to Grand Design.

Very happy to be part of this forum & looking forward to learning more about RVing & Grand Design in general. We heard great things about grand Design!

Welcome Julie. We certainly hope your experience with Grand Design is a pleasant one. Ours is a 2019 and was built in the fall of 2018. No major problems so far with ours. Yes some repair has been needed, but not all at the same time, some trim needed to be reattached, a water leak at a fresh water flex hose, replaced our converter and black water dump valve. But after almost 5 years old and @ 30,000 miles of rolling earthquake going down the road, some really bad highways, we are still very pleased with our GDRV. Of course we are fulltime so the rig doesn't get much time to rest.

Welcome and congratulations. We have the predecessor to your floor-plan, the 379FL. We love the changes that they made to evolve to your model.

We absolutely love the front living room lay-out. It gives three very separate spaces from bedroom, to kitchen, to living room. The opposing slides in the living room really give it a residential feel as well.
