We have a 2022 Grand design imagine and we are having a ton of issues. We are have water leaking out of the shower and it has caused mold because we couldn't see it and we can't tell where it's coming from still. The kitchen sink is leaking and the island wood is expanding so much from it that the counter cover is breaking. The drawings in the bunk house aren't attached well or at all, one track broke all together. The roof looks like it's bubbling. I don't understand we we are having so many big issues this early. Help what do we do!!!

You do maintenance. It is all you can do and watch for issues

One trick I do to determine leaks is by putting water in the holding tank and filling the system with the onboard water pump
If the pump stays off ,no leaks. If it runs on occasion, you have a leak and now you have to determine where

Now water leaking out of shower?
Gray water or fresh water?

Same with the kitchen sink
Gray water or fresh water
Input or output. You are not clear

Counter tops are inexpensive and easily replaced after you stop whatever leak you have

First thing is to simply stop the leak

If you can’t do it yourself unfortunately you will have to pay someone

Good luck

Sorry to hear that you are having so many problems. Unless you bought an extended warranty, you might be spending a lot of money to get the items fixed at the dealer.

Your best bet is to fix each issue yourself, one at a time.

I would start with the water leaks. The easiest one to track down and fix is probably the sink leak. There are three possibilities...

1, The incoming waterlines to the faucet are leaking. Fixing it could be as simple as tightening the connections where the faucet is connected to the PEX pipes coming up from the floor.

2, Splashed water could be leaking from the countertop, under the faucet or the sink, and dripping down onto the wood and causing it to swell.

3, You have a leak in your drain pipes under the sink. Again, fixing this could be as simple as tightening the pipe connection where the leak is at.

4, if your coach was pre-plumbed for a dishwasher, there's a chance that the fitting on the end of the PEX pipe is leaking and needs to be replaced. Check this first. I had this happen in my coach last year.

To figure out which type of leak you have, start with the area completely dry, turn off the water supply and the water pump and run a fan under the sinks for a day to make sure everything is bone dry. Check all three areas I mentioned above to ensure everything is dry. Then turn on the water (or water pump) and observe the pipes using a flashlight. Put down some paper towels on the floor (and the shelf if you have one) of the cabinet, if you have a leak, it will show up on the paper towels fairly quick. Note: your supply lines for the faucet might be hidden behind a panel at the back of the cabinet, generally, it only takes removing a few screws to gain access.

If your leak is in the supply lines now you will know what needs to be fixed, either tighten a connection, or replace a fitting (most likely).

If you don't find the leak, leave the water on for an hour and check everything again. If everything is still dry (be sure to check way up at the top of the cabinet), chances are that your leak is not coming from the supply lines or the faucet itself.

The next thing to check is for splashed water leaking under the faucet or sink. Get a glass of water and slowly pour it at the base of the faucet, make sure the water only drains back into the sink, and not onto your floor (or cabinet). Check under the cabinet for any leaks. You might want to pour 2 or 3 glasses of water at the base of the faucet to make sure the base of the faucet is sealed.

If you don't find any leaks then move onto checking the seal around your sink. Slowly pour a few glasses of water right where your sink meets the countertop and check underneath for a water leak. Test the entire perimeter of the sink(s) multiple times to ensure the sink is properly sealed.

If you haven't found your leak by now, then your leak is probably in the drains. The first thing you want to check is the seals at the bottom of your sink(s). Place the stopper in each sink and fill them almost full of water. Check the area under the sinks where the drains come out for leaks. If you don't immediately find a leak, let the water set for an hour and check for leaks then. If you don't have any leaks there, then the drain connection to your sink(s) is good.

Now you can check the drain pipes for leaks. Let the water out of the sinks one at a time and look for water along the drain pipes, sometimes it is useful to run your finger around the connections to feel for water if you can't spot a leak using the flashlight. If you find a leak in the drain lines, you can probably just tighten the connection to stop the leaking. Otherwise, you will have to disassemble the drain and replace the gasket in the fitting. Note: you might need to fill and drain the sinks several times before you find your leak.

To find your shower leak you will basically follow the same methods used for the kitchen sink. You might want to pay special attention to the seal behind the faucet as that area is prone to leaking. Also, pay special attention to your shower track, in my coach they did not seal the screws that they used to install the shower door track. Also, you might want to pay special attention to the possibility that water gets splashed above the shower stall and is dripping behind the stall.

Once you find the leak, you will need to figure out what to do about the mold. I would probably take a wait and see approach. Get the coach good and dry for at least three weeks. Then check the coach to see if you can smell the mold. If you can, then you will need to tear out the shower and clean every thing up and replace any damaged wood and re-install the shower unit.

Regarding the bubbles on the roof, how big are they? Do you have pictures? If you have followed the required maintenance and used the proper sealant, the roof has a 10 year warranty. If you can't get warranty coverage, then you might need to make an insurance claim, or simply get several quotes and pay to fix it out of pocket.

Alternatively, you can get a good adhesive and inject it into each bubble, spread it around, and cover your injection hole with Eternabond.

Good luck, and please let us know what you find once you start fixing these problems.

Have the drain lines or feed lines on the water issues ever been tightened? They will loosen during travel.

No idea what a "drawing in the bunkhouse" is.....

Roof bubbling can be subjective....to weather and the individual owner's eye. The newer adhesives and materials will bubble and change as the weather does. If you look at it 10 days in a row, it will change almost every day.

potentially improperly winterized so a lot of burst pipes and hoses.

Roof is not likely a problem unless the sealant wasn't inspected and resealed as necessary every 3 months.

Considering its the OPs thread..... venting is upto them. The ole horse to water trick only works if its thirsty, and some may not.😉

He hasn't responded to any of the advice for over a day, maybe he is just monitoring this thread (or not) being new here. If so you may want to get a mobile tech to look at your unit they are usually better than a dealer.
Some may not have the know how to troubleshoot these items.
Me, I know just enough to make myself dangerous

All those problems just now on a 2022? Either bought it used or just here trolling.

Another Bash and Dash poster...
Seems to be a trend lately, I think it's a combo of new RVrs not knowing as much as they thought they did about RVs and a rash of GD issues put together for the perfect storm. The good thing is most of the forum recognizes the bash and dash types so they don't fall in the rabbit hole.

I'm thinking if they don't return in a reasonable time (within 2 days seems fair) these types of threads will be closed down when I see them or they're brought to our attention via a report. Most venters don't break the forum rules.
