I was checking on my trailer in storage today and found these 3 screws on the floor and around the slide. I have not seen this head attached anywhere before and wondered if anyone know where they might come from. It’s an23 278bh
Thanks

I removed the U shape dinette and encountered screws that would have been about that size. The dinette bases are in three sections and held together and down by screws of that size.
Check under the folding counter top also.

Whatever they came from they were long and the other half of the screws are still in the hole where they fell from. Check all around the general area for blank holes.
Broken screws have been a trend lately, mostly from overtightening & poor quality screw from the factory.

Check the fold-out bed frame. This type of screw is used to secure the bed frame to the arm rests at each side of the sofa.

A Roberts square #2 driver will work on them... when you find out where they go.

They look like screws used for furniture or for some type of composite “wood.” That’s based upon what I can see of the remaining threads. The bigger issue is that those heads are broken off, so the remaining screw threads are still in place; once found, they will either have to be drilled out to use the same location, or new screws put in adjacent to where the broken ones were. Good luck on finding and fixing, and let us know when you find where they came from, so we’ll know what to keep an eye out for.

It does make me wonder know whether those actually are aluminum screws. It would make sense if they were, as they couldn't be over tightened enough to deform the track, they would break instead.

Do be aware the OP has not been back since posting those original photos. The info in the follow up posts are not the sources of the loose screws in the original post. I am curious where those screws came from.
