Thanks for joining. We have a good group of members here. You will get a lot of helpful information.

Beware - we like spending you money on "neat" "stuff":);) So now we get to help you buy a truck - so cool. hahahahah.... anyway - you'll get god info here.

To me that looks like a need for a long bed at the least and a dully is going to get a lot of recommendations.

Enjoy your time here.

Welcome! what year is the trailer? Before you choose a gooseneck research what Lippert will warranty with that particular gooseneck. I believe (not 100% sure tho) some goosenecks void the frame watrranty

I would use a B&W Companion before anything Blue Ox...

We use the Reese Goosebox on our current 375 and we also used it on our previous 377 (precursor to the 378). Having a clean truck bed without needing to uninstall a heavy hitch is nice! I can't see ever going back to a standard 5th wheel hitch.

We pulled the 377 with a long bed SRW but we were over the spec. We upgraded the tires and suspension and it handled fine, but that doesn't increase the sticker number. We have a DRW now.

Sold our fifth wheel, bought a TT and still have the rails in the bed. No big deal really.

True and with the puck systems the rails aren't even needed anymore.

But my "hitch" weighs 9lbs and my wife can remove it with one hand and it stores in a case under the back seat. Can't do that with a standard 5th wheel hitch.

Welcome to the forum. We have a 2022 378 MBS and tow with a 2022 Ram 3500 SRW Short box. I use the Curt Crosswing and it works very well. Connected to the gooseball in the truck it give me nearly 9" or offset so I never have any trouble with turning and the short box. It also only weighs about 100 lbs so it helps with the payload on the SRW. Best of all it is Curt and is Lippert approved so won't void your frame warranty. It is similar in concept to the blue ox that you showed but Lippert approved which is a must in my books with the frame flex issues some have seen. I have been careful about loading and use my space under the rear couch for some of my seldom used, short heavier items. I have weighed my setup with my previous B&W I was right at my payload numbers. With the Curt Crosswing I have a tiny bit of playroom. No washer/dryer or generator either.

Any questions just ask.

Hi, welcome to the forum and to Solitude ownership. We have a 2021 378MBS, and pull it with a 2019 Ford F350 6.7 SRW long bed, with a B&W Companion hitch. I have no complaints about going with SRW, but I’ll note our towing so far has only been in the eastern US (no large mountains or plains winds). Plan to retire in a year and travel more extensively, and we are giving thought to a dually. Again, no complaints about what I have, but I do wonder about stability, safety, etc in harsher towing environments.
