Hi everybody. Firstly, y’all are a great group of people on here from what I’ve read so far. Everyone is so helpful. Info on here was very useful to us before we pulled the trigger and made our purchase. We’re both early retired, and just purchased our 1st TT, a 2024 Imagine XLS 23 LDE. We are Texans (born and raised). We will be taking our first trip in the TT to the PNW at the end of August. We have pets we travel with, and it was getting to be a drag finding pet friendly hotels. Plus, just kind of gross staying in hotels nowadays. We are looking forward to sleeping on our own mattress, using our own pillows, drinking our own French press coffee, eating our own food, and using our own shower! Anyway, looking forward to navigating the site for answers to questions that we’ll have. And lastly, thank you for the welcome mat.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you with us. Yes, there are many benefits to RV travel, you've ticked off a lot of them. Mattress is high on my list.

Thank you for the reply. Our mattress should be here in about a week or so. It was high on my list too!

Welcome, all the best reasons to RV and enjoying the outdoors is a bonus. Smart ordering mattresses instead of a bandaid foam pad.. Enjoy!

And coming to the PNW sounds like a great first trip. We have so many pretty parks and other places to camp (assuming you can get into them!)

Thank you. It IS a BEAUTIFUL state! This will be my 3rd trip up there (first 2 times we drove, slept in the back of truck with our cat and dog with lots of blankets; left at end of November, we did it in 3 days). This trip up there will be a 5 day easy no stress drive up (hopefully). We have a house on Whidbey, so we’ll stay up there till February or so. We will be traveling all over WA this time, maybe OR too, now that we have the TT. Really looking fw to escaping this blasted heat and humidity we have right now in TX. Ugh. I love the weather up there too. Rain, drizzle and cold are right up my alley.

Thank you! You are so right. The mattress that came with the TT was like sleeping on an overcooked biscuit. Terrible! Still waiting on the mattress, but the hypervent aire-flow moisture barrier mat is arriving this Saturday. Hope it’s worth all the hype about about having one of these things. From what I’ve been reading, moisture/mildew/mold are rampant if not dealt with. I’m terrified of these 3 things. Hoping I do all I can to keep them at bay.
