We just got the insurance bill on our 369RL and about had a heart attack! We have all of our insurance with one company so we just called and told them what we bought. They didn't give us the cost at that time. It is almost $950.00 a year to insure! That's more then my Lexus! Just wondering what the rest of you are paying and with what company. We will have to do some shopping around!!

Sandi....is the 950.00 for everything?? Ours is way more than that per year, but it's our homeowners, 2 vehicles, trailer, golf cart and current travel trailer, (soon to be new Solitude) We have through State Farm

Hey Marianne!
No that was just for the Solitude! Maybe I am way off base but it just seemed very high to me. It will be interesting to see what everyone else is paying. Ours is through Progressive.

Sandi - I'm sure you know it depends on the coverage. My Reflection 303 is covered 100% at replacement cost with the following clauses:
$100 deductible Comprehensive (Physical Damage) - $248.00
$200 deductible Collision - $104.00
$0.00 deductible for Personal Effects up to $2,000.00 - $32.00
Road Service - $5.00
Total: $389.00 per year
The coverage is with Erie Insurance Exchange, who also has my house, an umbrella policy, 2 vehicles, and the RV. (multi-policy discount)
(No claims in 6 years, etc etc etc.)
They took the MSRP from the dealer sales sheet to be the replacement cost and based the rates on that cost factor.

Is it under a loan? Do you full time? Will it be parked and unoccupied most of the year? All of these things go into the cost of your policy. My old Keystone Montana (2012) was only $345 a year. Added on to my car insurance with AAA in California.

Don't know how this applies due to state, years driving, driving record, etc, but our premium with Good Sam (National General) on 2015 Reflection 303 is: 370.00 yr. with full replacement coverage. We have a 250.00 deductible with 3,000 for personal effects.

Sandy,

Ours is $906 a year for our Solitude with Nationwide. I agree that it is way too high as I don't pay much more than that for my homeowners insurance. I am interested in what others are paying also. Thanks

I pay $907 a year for insurance through Foresmost but I have full replacement coverage also. I also have personal property, collision, and comprehensive. My liability is carried on my truck insurance which is another $1,000 a year. I have high liability limits on both the truck and trailer. I have checked around and some do not offer the full replacement coverage and I wanted it because if somebody does hit and total the unit I would loose big time.

I know the Solitude is a higher end FW compared to Reflection but those of you who pay 900 or more? That just sounds excessive, and we live in CA where they tack on all sorts of "fees" on insurance policies. We had Progressive but when they raised their rates-and we had a spotless record- I started shopping around. I was amazed at the wide range of quotes for the exact same insurance.

Mine runs $1100/yr through Good Sam. It all depends on state where you live. I know Texas has higher insurance rates than most states.

Mine is also about $1,000 / year through Wayfarer Insurance (underwritten by AVIVA). Its insured as a house and a vehicle because that's what an RV is :).

Full replacement cost (1st - 5yrs). Dollar Amount paid (next 3 or 5 years (I forgot which)). Covered perils for RV and contents from damages such as weather and accidents (had a roof replaced under the insure in riot years due to a rip). Theft of contents )like a house). Repairs due to accidents just like a vehicle. There is a deductible that varies with incident. I merged my vehicles and house to maximize discounts.

Its only $83/month - LESS than the cost to fill my truck with diesel :D

Sandi, et al,

Shop around...that sounds awful high.. our RV insurance (USAA) is less than a 1/3 of your quote --$500 deductible tho, parked in a secured, monitored and covered RV lot. Probably after I get done paying RV storage fees it is a wash.
