Has anyone used a Reese sidewinder? Every time I talk to Reese I get a different answer as to if it will fit the solitude pin box. Also the truck doesn’t have a puck system.
Thanks

Find out what pin box you have. From when I was researching, they make a sidewinder that will fit most of the pin boxes currently in use. I have one sitting in my garage right now, waiting on my trailer, which has a Lippert 1621 pin box. Going to have the dealer install it while I do the PDI.

Not having the puck system only means you will need to get rails to put in the bed, which pretty much all the hitch makers have something that will fit.

You cannot get puck system from the factory with ramboxes, BUT you can install puck system after market, FYI. That might open your options. Be careful on your selection because your ramboxes will likely limit your turning capacity due to premature contact with inside of the truck bed.

The Solitude's all use a Lippert 1621HD pinbox.

Should be easy enough to find the Sidewinder #68220 to fit it.

I had a 2018 Ram 2500 with Rambox, the trailer sales installed the hitch with rails in the truck bed and a Reese Sidewinder 16K pinbox in our Reflection 320 MKS. They also sold and install a manual slider under the 5th wheel. I used it one time to see how it worked and never again. With the Sidewinder pinbox the pivot point is moved back 22 inches rear of the 5th wheel pin lock.
