Now that I own a "BIG" rig, I'm always afraid as I pull into the gas station, and I will usually get out and double check my clearances. "What's your clearance, Clarence?"

Me too. I hate it when they don't post the overhead clearance. I'm not a good judge of distance.

Agreed. My 30 year old daughter saw ours for the first time in person during a recent trip to California. She was in awe. She said that the pictures we sent didn't really represent just how BIG and comfortable an RV can be. She now understands the true meaning of "glamping" .

We also agree - we come down the road and see our trailer parked in the driveway and go, "Man - that's big!". We've come a long ways since our tenting days. We used to think the pop up was luxury. Our kids tell us we don't camp anymore - we go "trailering". They sure do like it though when the rain is falling or it's so hot and humid out you can't stand the beach (typical in Michigan summer). I like the glamping term

Agreed. We to have come a long way from our tent and Aliner days. We now refer to our going camping to going "rv'ing".

It reminds me of when we used to cruise on our sailboat. She had a mast that was 63' above the waterline. Every bridge on the Intercoastal Waterway was knot in the stomach as we went under. Only scraped the masthead antenna once. We called it the curb feeler. And you're right, it's hard to remember how big the rig is until you see it from a distance. Happy travels.

Yeah, we showed up at our friends house while on our travels, and the first words out of their mouths, 'could you find a bigger fifth wheel?...... Holy cow!' . We laughed so hard. But I'll tell you, they think it is huge and beautiful on the inside. They can't get over how much room we have and all the storage too. They love it.
