I have a few trips in the hot summer time heat. It gets real hot in the trailer when loading/unloading for the trips at home. I have a 6250/5000 inverter generator with a 30amp plug. Will this work at least one A/C while loading and unloading the trailer? Also would I need to plug my Progressive surge protector in the generator? One more thing being it will not have a breaker to trip on after doing the connections what steps would I need to do to prevent a surge?

That generator is more than enough to run one A/C unit, provided that you don't have a lot of other 120VAC loads on at the same time. One of the potential 120VAC loads that could be on that you may or may not be aware of is the Converter/Charger and it trying to charge the onboard battery of the camper. More than likely though, even if it's on, that size generator will handle both......just don't go crazy with other 120VAC things.....water heater on electric, a microwave, etc, etc.
