Hub Stud Replacement

Replaced a couple on an '05 Mustang. I imagine it's the same no matter the hub. There are good YouTube videos on how to do it at home. If you have a heavy duty impact wrench for wheel lugs and such, that works pretty well. Otherwise, pull the hub off (or take the RV) and have a shop do it. Quick and cheap job for them to do.

Has anyone replaced a stud in a Dexter drum/hub?

Yes I replaced one on the Dexter 7K axle, was easy to to. Got a stud from eTrailer and took minutes to swap once the hub was off the axle.

Replaced one on my Dexter 8K axle, easy to do. There are several U-tube videos out on ways to get the bolt to seat properly. I used a regular bolt with a washer to seat mine.

Just a follow up, Got the studs, removed the drum, cut off the lug nut, pounded out the stud and pounded in the new one. Will have to wait for this weekend to remount it.
