Is a kingpin tripod stabilizer rated to 5000lbs safe to put in place and raise and lower front jacks to perform maintenence? The towing weight on the hitch is around 1600lbs...

I have these: EAZ LIFT Telescopic RV Jack, Set of 2 | Adjusts from 16-inches to 30-inches | Featues a 6,000 lb. Load Capacity (48864) https://a.co/d/d5KpkSs and have used them to support the weight of the coach when I'm doing wheel or axle maintenance.

I'd go with something like MoonShadow suggested. I've supported mine on some heavy duty jack stands. I don't much care to but when it is necessary it can be done.

When MorRyde did my IS upgrade they supported the RV on air operated jacks with pins in them once raised to the right height.

i sure wouldn't put anything under the pin and try to lift the front jacks.

You must have a light 5th wheel, our pin weight is 3500#. if I had something like these under the drop frame.

Is there a reason you can't back the truck up under it and put it on the hitch to do that? I've done that many times. I have a very slow leak in a hydraulic line right now and, since my hitch isn't in the truck at the moment, my mobile tech is bringing two 8-ton jack stands that he uses under the frame at the front to raise the front struts. I'll side with the others here and advise against using a tripod.
