After exhausting searches and not finding a reseal kit for the leaking leg, I decided to pull it apart and identify all the different seals needed. Not much to lose. If I couldn't find the parts, I'd have to buy a $700 leg.
Make sure to mark your hoses. Disassembly was easy enough. The only odd part is the piston. it has a set screw under the wear ring. When I removed the screw the rod threads were a little damaged. I lightly ran the same size drill into the hole to "kiss" the threads and then the piston unscrewed from the rod.
You need the piston off for installing the lower plate with the really stiff seal. It can pull off the pad end but wont go back on same way, the seal lip is opposing that direction.
The stiff blue rod seal needs to be bent into a kidney shape to get it in. You'll figure that out. A tool is available from McMaster Carr
Seals were purchased from McMaster Carr, Alegheny York and Harbor Freight.
I used the Harbor Freight metric assortment in the blue box for all small diameter seals.
The new wear ring is diagonal split. The piston seal is called a T seal. I can only attach 10 pics.
