I recently started having problems with my Insignia 24" Gas Range, model number NS-RNG24SS9. The oven will not light and stay on. Yes, I checked the gas or propane tanks for fuel and the piezo ignition system is clicking away as it should. The top burners are all working fine, it's just the oven that I am having an issue with.
There is a light blue flame that I can see through the vent in the lower oven but as soon as you release the knob it goes out.
I removed the lower portion of the oven to have a better look at the Pilot Lamp, owner manual page 28. Sorry, not a better picture of the Pilot Lamp.
This is a link to the only partial parts list that I have found so far NSRNG24SS9 Insignia Replacement Parts - PartStore.com
I hope that this helps some of you with your Insignia oven issues.
The simple research that I have done so far suggests that the thermocouple is not heating up enough to send the signal to the gas line to stay open. Does this sound right or am I missing something? Any extra input would be helpful, thanks.

It would not hurt to change the thermocouple. If that does not correct the problem at least you will have a spare. I was having trouble with my oven. Top burners were fine. I found that the pilot orifice on my oven was so small that the flame was not big enough to properly heat the thermocouple. I removed the orifice and reamed the orifice with a good sized needle. This slightly enlarged the hole and let more gas through. The larger flame heated the thermocouple enough to allow the oven to work. You could order a new orifice if you don’t want to attempt to enlarge the hole. I was on a trip at the time and getting a new part was not an option.

There is a know issue with the Insignia ovens for RV's. Contact Insignia through email with the model number to see if your model is affected. We had the same issue of not staying lit. We sent an email to Insignia, they responded with in 24 hours, had us contact the Geek Squad at Best Buy through email. Best Buy owns Insignia.
They got back to us with in 24 hours via phone call and replaced the entire unit for us. They shipped to our dealer for installation.

After giving Best Buy all the info for replacement, I called GD customer service explained what we had done and requested a case number for our dealer to cover the cost of removing the one that was being replaced and for the labor to install the new one. I then gave the case number to our dealer so that we wouldn't be waiting for months.
