I'll have to give that a shot this spring when we take the trailer out for it's first trip of the year to my secret walleye fishin' spot in MayYes sir, that's exactly what I'm saying. Like most things though, as you are backing in, you may have to pause for a few seconds for the reading to "update" but for the most part, it's usually pretty quick. Pausing for a few seconds also gives the system a chance to be more accurate because the trailer is NOT moving and the sensor are not "seeing" any movement that would cause them to fluctuate.
