Is Roamly Insurance Seasoned Enough Yet

Trying to get away from Liberty Mutual for our insurance needs - home, truck, mini, and a travel trailer.

I got them to work me a quote for my 29' GD 2600RB. They quoted me a Progressive price of $634/yr ACV, $250ded with $10k vacation liability. About double what Liberty Mutual is asking without any liability.

They also quoted a 6mo policy on our two vehicles that is ~$300/yr under Liberty.

Are they mature enough yet? Looks like a new company. Their web does not mention auto policies but since they seem to quote Progressive, maybe so.

We presently have Progressive (via USAA) but have never heard of Roamly. Just out of curiosity I did an online estimate which was pretty pricey compared to what our new Progressive price would be. I also have a Good Sam membership and in reality they had the best price if you compare the same coverage. Bottom line I can't give you any input on Roamly but it might be a good idea to check around. By the way, when I did the original Progressive quote they snuck in "Roof protection" and "Pest damage protection" coverage that I really didn't want or need so make sure you verify what you are paying for. Good luck.

I have progressive through rvinsurance. Better coverage and comparable pricing to usaa/progressive. Pretty much left usaa after 44 years since they have gone downhill so much.

Our policy expires soon so I'm also interested in this subject. In looking at this, Roamly is an offshoot of Outdoorsy and a big advantage is that they will insure RV's that are rented out which could be a factor if you do that. I can't find any comparison reviews (Roamly vs Progressive vs Good Sam, etc.) and only found sites that review them individually, e.g., review of Roamly alone or review of Progressive alone, etc. I don't know how much I trust those since they have the potential to exhibit a bias. A friend with a similar setup as ours uses Costco insurance. Another with again the same setup uses Progressive and swears by them because he'd needed to put in claims and they have been excellent for him. I'm tending towards Progressive again because knowing someone with a personal good experience is worth a lot, at least to me. Sorry, for such a long answer I don't know if I helped you at all. :giggle:

Don't forget there are unscrupulous companies that will post bogus reviews using fictitious accounts. So caveat emptor.

When I got our Progressive renewal a couple weeks ago, the premium went up about 10%. I called GEICO and they are LESS THAN HALF the price of Progressive with comparable coverage.
