We bought a 2016 momentum 397TH and just got back from a trip to CO Springs, this is the 2nd trip we have taken in this camper since buying it in April 2024, we got home and found this crack on drivers side storage area and the molding pulling away from the camper

Moved to General Tech section. I'm sure someone will come along with experience on how to determine if it is flex. Welcome to the forum!

Pretty unusual in that vintage - not impossible. Could also be the result of prior damage that was not reported. I would highly recommend having the filon dropped and the upper deck checked for broken welds or damage. With that gap, I'd expect you should see some interior movement in the nose when extending or retracting the legs. Side note, I'm not sure I would be comfortable towing it with those pictures.

Thank you, we did find a weld broken causing this damage, we are contacting GD to see what they can do for us, hopefully they make it right, as I am seeing a lot of newer ones with same issues.. we did purchase an extended warranty with this camper as well .. hoping we can get this fixed without having to spend a lot of money!!

I would also contact Lippert directly. I believe there is a 10 year warranty on the frame. You never know - they may help out and they do have mobile techs.

Thank you!! I appreciate your knowledge and support!! We will do that as well.

Can you articulate where you found the broken weld?

Also, we would appreciate if you would keep this thread up to date with your experience. Others might need it in the future.
