Janice,

On the newer water handling system there are 4 valves (2 white, 1 blue, 1 red).

I'm trying to verify the functions of each in another thread. Here is what I have so far...

The blue directs incoming water connection to either the internal water system or to the water tank fill.

The top white may be where the water pump takes water from - take from water tank or from incoming water connection - may also be the bottom white

The red is the water heater bypass

I'm still not sure on the bottom white.

Anything you can tell me?

It's not actually a Nautilus, but I believe something Grand Design came up with in-house.

It may be similar in the connections, but I'd like to find out from Grand Design for sure.

Janice, I sent you a reply. The manual that came with our Momentum has photos and instructions for the Kantleak system. It doesn't show or reference this one. It would be nice to understand the function of each of the valves.

I think I may have figured it out.

top white - direct output from water pump to either water system or fresh tank
bottom white - water pump input from water tank or from water supply connection

Hi @RamGunner,

The current Momentum Owner Manual (with the black/red cover) has information on both systems. Please send me a private message with your name and mailing address, and I'll send one to you.

Best regards,
~ Janice

RamGunner, would you be so kind as to scan the page(s) that describe the water valve configuration? As you know I'm very curious about it myself. :) Thanks!

Hi @pg_rider,

We prefer that information proprietary to Grand Design RV (such as our owner's manuals) not be scanned or made available online. If you have questions on how to use the plumbing system on your RV please feel free to contact our Customer Support at (574) 825-9679 and they will work with you one-on-one. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
~ Janice

I would not post GD provided materials without permission, but it's unfortunate that GD doesn't supply .PDF's themselves. Several other makes do post them online, and it makes it convenient for both owners and when shopping.

I keep a netbook with .PDF's for everything that I own that I can get my hands on, so that I have the manuals in a more convenient mode of use. I can carry it near to the system and pull up the manuals. It's great to work on my truck, networking components, radios when I need a reference, etc.

It also makes it convenient to keep backup copies. When I sold my old Palomino from the 80's, I was able to give the new owner a flash drive with all of the manuals for everything (dometic refer, suburban furnace, and trailer). That last one was tough to get as their factory had burned down and they lost everything. Fortunately a customer that still had a readable manual was willing to scan theirs in and send it to the factory so they had a copy to send to others.

If a paper manual gets wet or otherwise destroyed, it's a lot harder to find a backup.

Hi @RamGunner,

After we receive the new warranty registration from the selling dealer, we mail a thank you letter and a thumb drive that contains the owner's manual in PDF (sorry if this ruins the surprise for others!) direct to the retail customer. I've mailed both a new owner manual and thumb drive to you today. Please let me know if we can be of further assistance.

Best regards,
~ Janice

I have seen this statement before but I have had my trailer since Feb of 2014 and have never receive the thumbdrive version. What is the possibility of getting said thumb drive with the manual that pertains to my version of the Reflection 303.?
Thanks.

Hi Ralph and Sheri (@RGMutchler),

We use the address on the warranty registration to mail these out and regularly have some envelopes returned from the post office because the forwarding address has expired, etc. If you - or anyone else - would like to request a thumb drive be mailed to you please send me a private message with your name, 17-digit RV VIN, mailing address and phone number. Upon verification of RV ownership, the thumb drive you receive will have the most current version of the requested owner manual.

Best regards,
~ Janice

Janice - Just wanted to thank you publicly. We received the updated manual in both print and .PDF formats. It's most appreciated.

I'd also recommend that factory stick with the alternative system installed in our Momentum. We had one valve that was weeping at a seam on ours - JD sent a replacement and it's been perfect ever since. It's a reliable system.

It details the positions and what they are used for, but no technical details about what's connected to what in each position. It's nice to at least have it shown in the manual, the one we received at purchase didn't cover it at all.
