Jensen 452 stereo

Does anyone know how to stop the Jensen 452 stereo from playing music through the TV? Even if the TV is off, turn on the stereo and the TV comes to life, very annoying.

Is there an HDMI connection between the stereo and the TV? If so, look at the settings there. Quite commonly an HDMI connection will turn on everything in the system.

Yes, it does have an HDMI cable connecting the stereo and tv.

HDMI ARC, or Audio Return Channel, is a feature of HDMI cables that allows audio to be sent back to the transmitter. It's designed to reduce the number of cables between a TV and an external sound system.

Often ARC is set to turn on the TV when the amplifier comes on or vice versa. I'm not sure where the setting is on your system since there is a different one on my coach.
