I am planning a trip from Missoula to San Diego in Dec- January. I am looking for methods to keep the water lines thawed while in transit during cold weather. We will have a least 1 or 2 overnights that we can plug in and run the furnace and tank heaters. Thanks for any options and proven methods

I have run the furnace on max heat while towing with success. It used a LOT of propane, but it worked for us.

I have also run the furnace while traveling. Not just to keep the lines from freezing, but so the camper is nice and cozy for lunch and a nap. ?

Winterize with RV anti-freeze until you get to warm weather and use 5 gallon jugs for fresh water and flushing. put an extra cup or two in the grey water drains and black water tank. Try to time your trip when you will have a day or two that might be above 20 degrees or so. The roads may be a bigger challenge that time of year than the camper freezing up. Watch the road reports! But Happy Camping!
