Kitchen table insert

Does anyone know the dimensions of the clear insert of the dining table? I either want to do a collage of family photos or one large picture. Also if I back it with a piece of poster board will it make it too thick and therefore make the glass too high?

Does anyone have any other brilliant ideas what they have put there?
I figured while stuck in for winter and can't go camping I might as well accomplish something
