lady bugs

The last week or so in October seems to be when the lady bugs suddenly want to come inside. We've tried several things, and I think we finally hit on something that helps. No, it doesn't completely get rid of them, but it sure cuts the numbers. I have a small wet/dry vacuum that we carry. We originally bought it a few years ago to suck up those bugs (hence the name, Bug Suck), but I was using it as a dry vacuum. The bugs got knocked around a bit as they were sucked in, but at least some of them managed to find their way out again. Also, when I emptied it, most of the bugs were will alive, and so able to try again. This year I'm doing something a bit different - I took the filter off and put a bit of water in the bottom. Now, when I suck up the bugs they get thrown into the water and that's the end of them.

LOL. I did the same thing this year. Added warm water with a lil bit of lysol cleaner so my vaccuum also gets a nice cleaning as those bug can stink. SO MANY this year. My back porch was covered. but trusty lil wet/dry vac was the bestest.

I got a few stink bugs in our trailer while at Branson

If they are swarming, they are likely not "ladybugs." They are more likely Asian Lady Beetles. They look very similar but have some nastier characteristics. Search on "Asian Lady Beetle" and read up on how to deal with them.

I think i just got rid of my last live one of the Asian beetles that that snuck a ride south with me. I havent seen any in a few days.

Stink bugs,,,, took me years to be rid of them after leaving PA.

I went thru those asian buggers a few years back. vacume into a canister with bug spray works great but takes awhile.
