Large gash in exterior fiberglass

Decal looks familiar. Less serious than your dilemma . . .I suffered an sizable scratch on my "bronze-greenish" decal. Couldn't find matching touch-up paint even from auto collision shops. Purchased a GD decal priced at only $16 so I ordered 2 in case I goofed on first attempt. Thank you GD. (haven't yet installed awaiting surface cleaner fluid)
Have you the part number for your decal and how to order?
Just need to smooth out the repair before making it look good...

BTDT. On Day 1 of our new RV. Totally was not expecting the swing out.

As noted above,
1) Fiberglas shop (boat repair, etc) can get the paint right (give them the decals) and you will never know it was there.

2)Marine Tex is the best solution for a DYI fix. It can be applied in layers (if that deep) and final layer can be easily sanded. The hardest time I have with this type of work is not screwing up the surrounding area with the sand paper and making the blemish larger than the original. Of course if you can get the decal to cover the OOPs then good on you.

3)Caulk or sealants can not be shaped and will leave you wishing you did choice 1 or 2.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply.
1. not so sure as these stickers appear different colors depending on the light...
2. I used marine tex white, hoping to make it blend well

Still hoping for 'Insist on live music' to reply with some sticker help...

Have you checked the GD parts lookup? (Parts Lookup | Grand Design RV Owner Resources) Look under Reflection 2021 -> 260RD 150 series -> Graphics

Thanks SS! I will give it a go...

*** Regret delay in responding, Contact GD "parts" directly. They now are erecting an on-line parts inventory. (a photo of your unique decal might be helpful). I ordered their surface prep product and plastic putty knife for smoothing. GD has their own how-to videos. *** try attached link
