After changing from a 50 ft hose to a 25 foot hose we developed a leak at the water intake value of the Nautilus system. We changed back to the 50 foot hose, but it stilled leaked when not leaking before we changed it. I now am keeping a towel down at the bottom to catch the dripping water. I do have a regulator on it that was replaced in mid October. We did check the regulator and it was at about 50, and dropped it to 45, yet when I just checked it with the washing machine running it was at 62. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? Broken pipe, malfunctioning regulator? Grand Design was no help at all as we called them. It is leaking from where the hose attaches and drips down the front of the Nautilus and we have hand tightened as much as it will go with no stopping of the leak. Thanks in advance!

Are you using a 90 or 45 degree angle to connect, or straight from the hose onto the connection?

Have you checked the condition of the rubber washer in the hook up?

Like mentioned above, verify the condition of the sealing washer inside of the female connector by removing it. It's possible to overtighten so be careful of that too.

Yeah its probably the rubber washer inside the female connection. The rubber washer should have a screen attached as well, make sure the cone of the screen points outward. Inside the female fresh water connection is a check valve that opens with water pressure. The check valve closes when external water pressure is removed. That is so if you are drawing water from the fresh water tank using the pump, water doesn't flow back out of the external fresh water hose connection. Putting the rubber washer/filter screen in backwards, the cone of the screen will keep the check valve open all the time.

All these connections are plastic, be careful you don't cross thread the hose connection, that can cause the plastic threads in the connectors to strip and you'll get a permanent leak.

Just straight from the hose to the connector. We have a 2023 Reflection

Thanks I will check that out!
