Leak from cracked solar docking port

I am new to the GD forum and would appreciate any insights.

In Dec 2023 we purchased a GD Imagine XLS 21 BHE.
Last week I took it back to the dealer (2.5 hours away) for general maintenance and inspection. They discovered a soft spot in the roof around the solar docking port, which has a crack in the base. I went on the roof and had them show me the problem. According to the dealer, this will be an expensive fix (I have read a few threads where folks agree that often the entire roof membrane needs to be replaced). Needless to say, we are very disappointed to have this problem after less than a year of ownership.

The dealer said that they have seen this same problem (cracked base on solar docking port) several times. I read one post that referenced this as a problem, but I was unable to locate the posts that actually discussed the problem.

Anyone have experience with this situation?

Yep, have the dealer submit for a roof replacement under warranty.

@Imagine4us, so sorry to hear about your experience. It looks like you're new here, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I would have to agree with @huntr70, it doesn't seem you have many options beyond a warranty replacement of the roof.

Thanks Steve. That is our plan, but the dealer wasn't very optimistic about GD making good on it.
Hoping GD comes through (seems they should).

Try contacting GD directly. It doesn't hurt to be the squeaky wheel.

I would be highly surprised if they don't take care of it.

I hate to say it is common, but it is.
