I have a 2017 350M that has been used 10-12 weeks a year since May of 2017, we are the original owners. This summer the RV wasn't used but for 5 nights in early June, then parked on a pad by our home with all the slides in. Yesterday we connected power to put the slides out to check for any food that we had forgotten and to winterize. Found a yellow substance on the floor in front of the carpeted area of the passenger side slide, the carpet was damp but not wet but had a strange odor. Crawled underneath the slide on the outside and saw the same stuff on the plastic weather barrier. Pushed up and found the floor to be very soft. Open the TV hatch and found mold and the bottom board of the TV compartment was pulling apart. The hatch latch was rusty. Flipped up the couch inside and the floor in the slide is very soft and must be replaced. My question is what can I do to keep this compartment from leaking again? It has a 1 piece rubber gasket but the end is at the bottom where the latch spins. I have had no other hatch leaks or even dampness.
Thanks for any input!
