So I am getting ready to take my 22rbe on our inaugural camping trip this weekend to the local State Park.
Check and double check that everything is ready to go. The state doesn't turn on the water or shower house till April1 so I proceed to fill my fresh water tank.
I had already sanitized it and checked for operation and leaks......all looks good.
Drag out the hose hooked to the house that I water plants with and fill my tank. You can guess what is next......
Went inside and got a glass of water and it smelled and tasted terrible, like plastic. I'm like WTH?
Did some research and got out the hose and tasted the water from the end of the hose......same taste!

Ended up flushing my tank and lines 3 times before I got ride of the taste.

Moral of the story, drinking water hoses do make a difference! Lesson Learned the hard way!

Now I'm good to go!

Yes I have a filter for filling at random parks but didn't use it at the house because we drink from the tap all the time, just used the wrong hose definitely!

I sometimes fill a water cooler with the garden hose but only after letting it run for a bit to move out all of the “old” water. The water takes on the hose smell and potential chemicals when it sits for a while, particularly if it is in the sun.

Yea it was pretty terrible.......undrinkable!
It was a pretty new hose and I just didn't even give it a thought.
Always drank from the hose when I was a kid and don't remember it tasting bad. (Of course we drank from the lake, creek, anywhere we were thirsty too!) LOL
