So I've been wanting to do this mod for a while and finally pulled the trigger and bought the lights and some electrical cable and did this mod yesterday.
As far as mounting the lights, I marked and drilled into the 4" x 4" square tubing on the back of the trailer that runs from the garage level all the way to the top. I drilled and then tapped the holes (10-24 size screws) and then a 7/16" hole for the wiring to go through, inside the 4" x 4" tube and down to the floor of the garage. I also put a rubber grommet in that hole, so no chance of the wiring rubbing on the edge of the hole and grounding out. That hole going through the floor of the garage was just big enough for the cable to fit through and I will seal it with some Black RTV. All connections were soldered and then heat shrinked, then Electrician's tape over the top of that. So here is a pic of just the taillights on, then the next one is with the brake lights on....No one can say they can see me now...:pound:

Looks Nice. I want to put extra lights on my 351M.

Thank you. I can't imagine someone not seeing the rear end of something so large as a Momentum 5th Wheel Toy Hauler.....or any trailer for that matter, but realistically, Grand Design, in my opinion should have put lights like this on the trailer from the factory. Any increase in visibility is a good thing....and these lights are located up high enough to kind of really be in a driver's line of sight better than the OEM lights that are down lower.
