Level Up System and Reconnecting the Battery

I searched this forum for 30 minutes and didn't find the answer I am looking for so I apologize if the answer is in this section someplace and I've missed it. What I would like to know is if I am going to need to recalibrate or do anything with the leveling system on my Reflection when I put the battery back in. I took it out last fall when I winterized and will be putting it back in soon. I realize that the last known hitch up location would be lost but is that all I can expect to be lost or do I have to do something more? Thanks in advance.

If you are concerned about the "level" of the system, that should not change after disconnecting/reconnecting the battery. In other words if when you used your leveling system last fall and it levelled your trailer and it was level when done, that setting should not have changed because of removing the battery over the winter. Hope that helps.

Completely disconnected the battery multiple times on my Momentum and never had to recalibrate anything.

If, for some odd reason the trailer doesn't level properly when you hook the batteries back up, there is a fairly simple way to recalibrate it for level. Of course you need a decent carpenter's level to get it level first, then go through the calibration procedure.

Thanks xrated. I'm hoping everything will be fine. I'm a woodworker and have all sorts of accurate levels and I'll make sure I'm well versed in how to recalibrate if I end up needing to.

I just got my momentum and it was not level upon auto-level. Being a noob I thought I must have screwed something up. Called Lippert, had a guy on the phone in about 2 minutes and 5 minutes later and 5 taps on the L, it was level as could be. As a new owner I was very reassured and I learned how to recalibrate.

I have a related question. I use the auto leveling feature and it works very well. But I am still manually retracting jacks and setting hitch height to re connect. Yes, I have to get in and out of the truck a couple of times but I still prefer this method.

I have a general question on the auto leveling. When first disconnected from the truck this weekend we were sitting almost perfect center bubble. But auto level one by one, back and forth kept raising the rig until the front two tires were just off the ground.

So I went back and manually set it lower but still level. Is this an indication that this less than year old system needs to be recalibrated?

Mine was doing as you describe on our first trip. Drove me crazy.
Upon our return, I wanted to take a look in the underbelly for another reason. When I dropped the coroplast, the rear levelup sensor fell out. The factory had overtightened the screws into the plastic body stripping them. I reattached it using large pop rivets. It now works perfect.

If you check it with a carpentry level and its level side to side and front to rear and you auto level and it takes it out of level, yes it needs to be recalibrated. Recalibration is nothing more than manually leveling the rv, then go into advance features and tell the auto leveler system the rv is level and it zeros it self out.

Also a trick I learned here is to put the rv in a slight nose up position before auto leveling. The system for some reason wants to drop the nose as it begins the process if it gets too nose down it kinda gets confused and gets a little wacky on the level.

As mentioned above, count me as one more that has never have had an issue with calibration of the leveling system with reconnecting the battery. The thing I will say, I have found it very important to have a fully charged battery in order to avoid a low voltage error on the leveling system.

I would only do this AFTER ensuring that the sensors are mounted securely! One cannot calibrate it with a sensor that is just hanging by the wires.

The instruction label on the 2021 Solitude specifically says to have the nose high above level before using auto-level.

As a follow-up to my original post.....After putting the battery back in my rig, I pushed "Hitch Height" and the middle and rear jacks raised up and the nose then raised about an inch. Certainly not hitch height so I did lose that but I expected I would. I was just happy that the four other jacks raised so I could raise the nose to hitch up. After playing around with raising and lowering things, I pushed "Auto Level" and it leveled things just fine. I'm good to go now!
