Is anyone having issues with the leveling system? We just picked up our RV last week. Two instances of the rear levelers coming back down after we have retracted them up.

Sandi, we had trouble with our auto-leveling system. (Our would hike up one side--which looked like it was gonna topple over) We thought at first we had to reset it...which our dealer talked us through. I also googled and found this youtube which really helped. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMStlSAv9D4 Maybe you could try resetting it...we leveled it with regular levels and followed the zero: setting the controls. which is around 3:12 mins in the video.

However, that was not our problem. We took it back to the dealer and found out that our wires were crossed (somehow, they worked as they should when we did the PDI). Anyway, our dealer fixed the wires and now it works great.

Hope this helps!

Renee thank you so much for your response and direction to the you tube video! I swear you can find anything on youtube can't you?!?!? I hope that it solves our problem because our dealer is two hours away and we will have to haul it back there!
Thanks again and happy camping!!

Hi @Sandi,

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome! Ambient temperature changes can also cause 6-point leveling movement. To remedy, you will need 1 quart of Caterpillar Hydraulic Oil Additive (Caterpillar number 1U-9891), then follow these directions:

1. Fully retract the 6-point leveling system and landing gear on your Solitude 369RL
2. Remove 1 quart of fluid from the reservoir
3. Add 1/2 quart of the Caterpillar Hydraulic Oil Additive (Caterpillar number 1U-9891)
4. Fully extend the 6-point leveling system and landing gear
5. Add the remaining 1/2 quart to the reservoir
6. Then level your RV.

If this does not resolve the issue, please contact your dealer or our Customer Service department at (574) 825-8000 for further service assistance.

Wishing you a safe and Happy New Year! Best regards,
~ Janice

Janice thank you so much for your response! We will defiitely try and let you know how it works. We actually looked at this owners forum a few times before we purchased our Solitude and were very impressed that someone from the actual plant monitors the site and answers questions!! Since this is such a new product is sure gives a sense of security to know that the builders actually care what is going on with the products AFTER we have spent our hard earned money!!
Thank you Grand Design!!

Hi Sandi and Allen,
I have been more than impressed with the Grand Design team since I approached them with the idea of this board. They have been very gracious with their time and resources and I believe that we will be one of the best owner's boards out there, partially because of that. Janice and Bill have been amazing, Marc and I talked for a long time before I started the board, their support is tremendous.

We've all been part of forums where the people on the forum bicker and attack one another. This board will never get to that point. We have great members, and a great team. More changes to come for 2014 with the forum. Please don't hesitate to give me input for changes.
Thanks
Ct..

Hi Chris:

Thanks for the nice comments and a great Forum!

I do have one comment/request. Can you add something to the main page to suggest that any questions requiring a response from Grand Design needs to be put in the Tech Corner? I'm afraid that as this forum grows, we may miss some questions and upset some people if they put their questions in other sections and they go unanswered. Janice is diligently monitoring the Tech Cornet section.

Thank you for your consideration.

Great minds think alike. I will put it in the news section and in the general announcements.
Thanks
Ct..

Since the factory is aware of this leveling issue with the leveling can the factory correct this issues with the addition of the Cat fluid additive before shipping?
