I realize the new LevelMate Max hasn't been on the market very long. I assume there isn't enough there to warrant upgrading from the LevelMate Pro+. But if anyone has had their hands on the Max version, kindly share your thoughts? I understand the primary differences are that it utilizes a gyroscope for faster and more accurate readings, AAA batteries that will last longer than the CR2032, and new mobile app interface. Just curious...

Still using the original LevelMate Pro - the one where you had to take it all apart to replace the battery. Best thing I did was to buy a small step down transformer (12v to 3v) https://www.amazon.com/3V-3A-Waterproof-DC-DC-Converter/dp/B07PNWPLRY and wire it in to the light inside my pass through, and then solder to the battery terminals in the LevelMate. As long as I have charged 12v batteries, my Pro gets power! No more finding it dead just as I wanted to use it. Still going, 7 years later.

That's too funny. I bought one when I bought my first camper in 2016, as it did not have any type of leveling equipment other than an electric tongue jack. I too bought a DC to DC power supply and and hooked it up to the RV's 12v system and then like you, soldered the 3V leads to the LMP battery terminals. It worked flawlessly and I let it go with the trailer as the new Momentum has all the bell and whistles.

That's a great solution. I've had the Pro+ version for a couple years and that one has USB connector in addition to the battery. It doesn't need a battery if you have it plugged into USB and have 12V power. I prefer that over batteries for sure.

I have had a LevelMatePRO on a previous Travel Trailer, and I have a LevelMatePRO+ on my Cougar. I just got a LevelMatePRO Max installed on my 320G. It most definitely outperforms both older LevelMatePROs. It is a far superior device that I’m looking forward to using for many years.

You have a 2024 320G...what does the levelmate pro do for you? The trailer comes with auto levelling so just curious.

What is it that you find far superior? Curious to know how it compares to the Pro+.

My son gave it to me for Xmas. Didn't think I'd use it much but it is convenient at overnight sites where I don't want to disconnect (usually HH locations which are not the most level ground) and try to get side-to-side level. Sometimes just moving a few inches makes a big difference and I only extend the front legs to just touch - no need to auto-level or block under the jacks.

The LevelMatePRO Max allows me to find the most level spot in the site so I’m starting off more level which makes it a bit better when using the auto-leveling. Also, I have had issues with the auto-leveling on my previous TT and the LevelMatePRO+ was instrumental in getting the camper level.

My Pro+ would occasionally drift and would be off when the camper hadn’t moved. The Max allows for more accurate, more responsive, and repeatable leveling while in motion. I’ve only used it a couple of times, but it seems MUCH better.

This is a very helpful tip!

I have used a Levelmate Pro for 2+ years paired to my Samsung Android phone, with good results. So, I "bit" on an offer to upgrade to a Levelmate Max. Big mistake! The manufacturer does not disclose that the Max only works with iphones. They say they are "working on" an Android app. Don't waste your $$$ on the Max unless you use an iphone.

I did not realize that. You would think that would be made pretty clear at this stage. I have an iPhone but still; seems like a significant oversight not to mention it.

One platform is no better than another, but I can't stand Apple anything. I guess it works great in pies, but that is about it.

Of course, for everyone that can't stand Apple, there are probably two that can say that about Android.

The AA batteries curbed my interest, the Apple only, sealed the deal.
