I just bought a 2018 Solitude with the Lippert auto level system. The One Control 3.0 lcd in coach display is mounted in the key cabinet the is inaccessible when the slides are closed. If the system has an error while auto leveling it requires a reset using the lcd control but to access it I have to put out the slides but the trailer is not yet level. I thought I could get the app on my phone but I just learned that the system I have does not have internet or Bluetooth access. Is the control mounted in the wrong place or is there another option?

You don't need internet or BlueTooth to connect to the One Control unit. The units of that era (2018 and same as my trailer) have built in WiFi and you use that for connecting the app on your phone to that WiFi, then you have the same control functions as the tablet does.

You will have to download that app (either Android or IOS...depending of course on which phone type you have), then when the app download is complete, it's time to set the connection up between your phone and the built in WiFi

I'm not familiar with IOS at all, as I've always had Android based phones, but I suspect the process may be similar....so...Go to your phone's Wifi settings page and search for a WiFi source that is something like this... MyRV_39583F2592748164 (this is NOT an actual number, so do NOT use this). Once you find that WiFi source on the phone, tap on it to connect to it. It will require a password, and that password is located on a sticker that is on the hub for the One Control....usually in a nearby cabinet....and in your case, probably close to the actual display that you can't get to when the slides are in. If I remember correctly, after you input the SSID AND Password into your phone...and get hooked up to the One Control, it is going to ask you to input a 4 digit PIN number, and you can use whatever number you want......Just make sure to write it down and or remember it. It will be required each and every time you open the app to access the One Control from your phone app.

The WiFi that you are hooked up to for the One Control does NOT have Internet, and that is just the way they made them back then. The thing to remember though, is that when you want to access the One Control app on your phone, always remember to go to the WiFi settings on your phone first, connect with the MyRV_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx wifi and it will tell you there is no internet available (which you already know, so you can ignore), and then go to your app and open it, put in the PIN number, and you are good to go. Hope that helps....and if you have IOS instead of Android, maybe someone else will come along and help you with that, if you need it. Like I said....I'm an Android guy not IOS so I can't help ya there.

Oh, I got so interested in giving you some help to be able to connect your phone to the One Control, I forgot to say...Welcome to the Forum....it looks like that was your first post.

Thanks for the welcome. I appreciate your input, unfortunately, my trailer has the Onecontrol lcd monitor but without the wifi hub. It's an older system using the MyRV app. When I go to the apps section on the display and click on MyRV app it says there is no wifi hub. I'm wondering if I can still get a compatible wifi hub from Lippert that will hook up to the monitor and give me the MyRV wifi. I plan to reach out to Lippert and see.

How strange....my Momentum is also a 2018 model year and has it. I would still look around the camper in the area of the display and search for the WiFi hub....it's hard to imagine that it is not there somewhere. On mine, you cannot see it unless you remove a small panel that is INSIDE of a kitchen overhead cabinet that also has the One Control tablet mounted to it. I'll attach a picture of mine to show as an example....If you look at this picture, you can see the One Control Tablet on the side of that kitchen cabinet. When you open the door to that cabinet, on the right side there is a "slanting" fake wall that separates the cabinet space from where the WiFi hub and associated equipment is located......maybe you have something like that in yours too?

Also, don't depend on just looking at the tablet apps for the WiFi. If it has never been set up to work, it may not be showing. Instead, use your PHONE and do a WiFi scan to see all the available wifi networks that are available. If you see the one that I referred to in my previous post, you KNOW that there is a WiFi hub in there.......Somewhere! Then it's a matter of finding it and putting in the SSID and Password that is on the sticker by the Wifi hub

I did another the though search for a wifi hub and checked to see if there was a MyRV wifi on my phone. No luck. I contacted Lippert customer support and verified that if the One Control only is used for leveling than there is no wifi hub and no way to add one. So I'm back to my original problem. I can't believe that Grand Design would build it this way. I'm assuming the One Control was added after original purchase. I could move the monitor to the adjacent cabinet but that would require cutting into the main system Control panel and leaving an ugly hole where it currently sits. I'm sure I can figure a way to make it look okay. Any thoughts?

So you are saying that when you fire up the LCI One Control Display, the ONLY choice on it is for Leveling? In other words there is not a section for lighting, Awnings, slides, Monitor, etc, etc.

My second thought would be to contact Grand Design and have your VIN number handy and they can verify what was or was not used on that particular trailer. I find it incredibly hard to believe that the only function on the One Control was just for leveling....and BTW....I'm not implying anything towards you with that comment, I'm just simply saying I find it hard to believe that they would do a One Control install on the trailer and not include at least some of the other things I mentioned.

What model Solitude do you have?

Thanks for jumping into this Steve. I figured that if anyone on here would know what type of One Control he has, it would probably be you. Hopefully the OP will see your "ask" and respond. I don't think he's on here everyday, so it may take a day or two.....

Yes, that is correct. Nothing other than leveling. Everything else is controlled by a different control panel in the other cabinet. That's why I wonder if the leveling system was added after the fact of the original trailer.

I'm going to hold off until Hunter70 responds.....he's our resident guru on GD trailers.

All Solitude models have always had auto leveling, just different "versions" of it.

They LCD screen version was only about 2 1/2 years. Honestly, more trouble than it was worth.

I don't remember any models that had the panel hidden though. ..there were some that had it in the same cabinet as the main controls and others had it on the exterior wall next to the door.

On my RV there is the standard control on the outside door and the LCD (OCTP) on the inside cabinet right around the corner
to the left of the main cabinet control board you access when first entering the RV. It's not hidden. Its in the same location with the key rings and the ceiling fan control. It's just strange that GD would put it there when it's not accessible when the slides are closed. I'm thinking of relocating it to the main cabinet.

That may be the only way to solve that issue, given the fact that you don't have the wifi part of the system where you could use the phone app.

The picture that I posted up earlier that shows my One Control Tablet on the wall, that is directly in front of the front door when you walk in. And if you look at the switches that are down below it, when the trailer was new, there was only one switch there.....the center one. That one is for turning the overhead lights on in the LR/Kit area. The other two were mounted up and under that cabinet and were a pain in the rear end to get to and see......very "unhandy". So, I cut out some new holes and moved them from the underside of the cabinet to the side of the cabinet, but left the 120VAC recept. under the cabinet. I had a piece of the dark paneling from when I cut down the King size bed frame and made it into a Queen size bed, and simply covered the two switch holes with a piece of that. You'd have to look close (and under the cabinet) to even see it. It was so perfect that I didn't even have to extend any wiring when I made the move...LOL
