Lippert Tread Light Entry Step

Has anyone had an issue with the Lippert Tread Light entry step binding? The trailer is currently level and the issue seems to be getting worse as time goes by as I extend/retract them. Nothing appears to be bent and both sides look symmetrical. If so, how did you fix it?

After thoroughly going over the step I found several bolts starting to work their way out. All is good after tightening them and I may add some locktite to them as well. I will probably add this to my pre/post inspection list.
