Looking at going to Long Key SP, Florida in the fall. Info shows they have some sites that'll accommodate a 40' trlr. But in looking some of the pics, it's seems narrow & tight.

Any insight on whether we can reasonably get our 38' fiver in there?

Thanks.

Chris,

I was there with my 31 foot long TT at Christmas in 2009 and getting backed into the sites may be your biggest challenge although with a fifth you may find it easier. The sites have split rail fences between to protect some of the natural vegetation. I would probably call the park directly and ask them. If u go, beware the tiny bugs that live in the sand. My wife and daughters had a gazillion bites that got really red; me, the effects didn't show up for a couple days. It is pretty cool park though because all the sites back onto the water. If u grab you coffee early in morning you can watch tide come in.

Chris ,

My wife and I stayed at Long Key State park for one week at the end of March in our Solitude 320X just a little over 35' long, it was a great park and great location, you can't beat being directly on the water. You may also want to try Curry Hammock just north of Marathon, those sites are great for big rigs and trailer friendly, we have booked a site there for two weeks next spring. We were in site 44, the site was long enough just a little narrow so it was a little tight to say the least. Some of the "better" trailer sites are > site 44 in my opinion. longkey.jpglongkey1.jpglongkey3.jpg
