Looking for some apps that help with your route

Hello all we just purchased our first Fifth wheel upgrading from a bumper pull. I was wondering if there was any applications that help you find route geared towards bigger rigs, maybe something that shows a list in your area with gas stations that accommodate the height and size. Possible better roads etc. We have a 2024 Grand Design Momentum 351 MS 40.5 ft
Thanks you all in advance!

I plan our routes with RV Trip Wizard but I use a Garmin RV890 on travel days. Most of the time, they don't differ in routes - occasionally but both should give you routing for your size/weight Momentum and truck. Both allow you to enter your specifics (weight, height etc.). The only caution I would make is that they don't take into account route modifications due to construction, accidents, etc. I tried Google Maps once on a re-route and came up to a bridge with about two inches clearance - last time I'll do that.

RVTW gives you locations of fuel stops - both truck and local gas stations. I always verify in earth view on say google maps before I pull into a local gas station.

If you use diesel, I would suggest the TSD Open Roads card as it allows you to fuel up in the truck lanes - no height problems there.

There are other options that folks prefer. Scroll a few pages back or search RVTW in this sub-forum and you will see some good threads with multiple apps.

I use the loves app for fuel stops and the windy app for road weather conditions, to name a couple.
When you have google maps set up correctly, its the best one.
All 3 are free.

I also like RV Trip Wizard. It takes a few minutes to set it up and learn to use it and after that it works quite well. I have a Garmin RV770GPS that I transfer the routes to. Both of these allow you to put in the dimensions of your rig and will route you according to where you will fit. I use my IPad for trip planning most of the time and with RVTW if I hold my finger on a spot on the map a pop up will offer to go to Google Street view, tapping that will give you the chance to look closely at any proposed stops to be sure you can fit OK. I have the Pilot Flying J fuel app but i seldom use it, it only show RV friendly as yes or no, but I prefer street view or satellite view to look at them. Of course all of these apps make mistakes at times so it is a good idea to review any routes they come up with to be sure they are not sending astray.

RV Trip Wizard is your friend here. Plan the trip on line (you can include fuel stops) and you can use the Smartphone app. Although I prefer to use a Garmin for day-to-day travel; bigger screen, better announcements, traffic alerts, can quickly see rest stops and truck stops along a route, etc.

I don't know of an app or anything that will point out gas stations based on height and/or size. You didn't say but I'll guess you have a diesel truck. Truck stops are your friends in this case (use the Open Roads app with the TSD card) if you are towing.

There aren't any good roads, just sections of roads that are good. lol.... I don't really know of any app or anything that would call out better roads. But if planning with RV Trip Wizard it will keep you off roads you ought not to be on (for various reasons including grades, and heights).

Don't forget that 5th wheel is a lot higher than the bumper pull you had. That heigh "thing" seems to be your worst enemy; especially in campgrounds that haven't quite figured out how tall we are these days - you know, the "tree hugger" campgrounds.

We run the app Copilot on one phone and RV Tripwizard on the other phone. Niether is perfect so we run both. They usually pick the same route.... usually. When they differ it gets interesting! Copilot is an RV safe navigation App and costs $29.99 per year. We've used it for years and only started using Tripwizard within the last year or so.
