Hello all!

I'm brand new to this site but not brand new to camping. Just brand new to glamping as my wife Linda and I picked up a 2020 310 GK last July!.....
I did an awful lot of research on 5th wheels before choosing our Solitude and I hope it gives us many years of enjoyment.

Cheers!

There is lot of great information here on the forum.
We love our Solitude too. It's Spring down here in Oregon.

Happy glamping, KEN

Congratulations on your purchase. I hope yours last longer then our 2020 380FL did. It started falling apart about 4 months after we bought it. All 15 pieces of window covers and mouldings that fell off were an ez fix. But the zirk fittings on the springs, two wast valves leaking, two water leaks in the sub floor and a peeled off section of roof really puts a damper on a 12 month road trip. The up side is Grand Design said they would cover it when we get home, we will have to see how well that will work out.

M.J. sorry to hear that....
Hopefully GD will make things right as promised.

Just a quick question...Did you order your unit or did you purchase from dealer stock?

Dunham, welcome aboard. We love our 310GK-R! Sure - some issues, but all minor and typical of any new RV purchase (we've owned a 'few'). We are enjoying the heck out of it.

Ken - what ! gone are the days of hot dogs on a stick over the campfire and eating warm pork and beans out of the can ? Thought I was looking at a table at "Vinnies Restaurant !" You guys are roughing it way too much.

I was a Boy Scout and did the primitive camping. I was even a scoutmaster for 10 years. Our troop went camping every month; even thru the winter. I liked winter camping the most. Became a cross-country ski patroller. More snow camping. I can build a fire in the wettest conditions and cook on it "if necessary".

Glamping is now the new norm for us. We will be going full time in our Solitude in early 2022. Cooking a good steak or pork shoulder on the Davy Crockett GMG is the way to do it. Going out to eat once in a while to spoil my wife is ok, but taking the time to cook is more fun.

Our camping companion before he passed. He loved to "go" do anything with us. KEN
