Low outlet for sewer connection

Official home, NW Missouri. In Solitude mostly now
1 night stayed in the Solitude and we love it!!

I do have a question or maybe feedback for the factory. Why is the sewer connection on the front so low underneath the drop frame? I really like the drop frame and the extra storage it gives us, but I do wish the sewer outlet was up higher like the one in the back. Maybe I am the only one but it seems I run into alot of campgrounds that have their connection way up high. I don`t like it this way, and I am not sure why they do it, but it seems that it would be best to give us as much fall as we could from our rig to the connection. My sewer stand I had doesn`t even fit under the hose on this new rig.

And maybe I am just to picky about the fall!! But I don`t like sewer jams!! Some people obviuosly do not mind them, you see sewer hoses wrapped in a neat little Q and laying on the ground, where it needs to travel up 3 inches to get into the sewer!!

And yes it does work here where we are now, we are close enough to the sewer connection, just noticed it right away. Just wondering if the connection could not have came out right behind the drop frame where it would be 8 inches higher. I`m sure there is a good reason, I just have to know why! :)

Hi @ADIRKS30,

Outlet location is driven by tank location and routing of PVC line (ex: gate valve cable length limitations).

Thanks Janice.

So maybe the black tank is in the drop area?

Hi @ADIRKS30,

Please add your 17-digit RV VIN to the "About Me" section of your forum profile, or send me a private message (PM) with your 17-digit RV VIN, name and phone number. We would need that information to research your concern. Thanks in advance...

Best regards,

The rally soumds great. Have 40 years of work yet before we can retire and just spend time going to rally s. :-(

Hi @ADIRKS30,

No need to wait -- we encourage folks to set up (non-GDRV sponsored) rallies or camp outs on their own, like the Anchor Down rally... Or it could be as simple as meeting for a weekend camp out. If you or anyone else is interested in setting one up, just post a thread here http://www.granddesignowners.com/forum/forumdisplay.php/81-Grand-Design-Group-Camp-Outs to find others who may also be interested in attending. :)

Best regards,
~ Janice
