Magnetic Door Stop

I have been looking for a way to keep my door knob from hitting the shades in the bedroom, as well as keep the door open while traveling. We like to run the A/C's while in transit and air circulates better with the door open. I managed to kill both birds with one trip to Lowe's. I purchased a magnetic door stop. I screwed it to the floor, instead of the wall. It keeps the door open while traveling and it prevents the knob from hitting the shades.

Nicely done ! This was our very first mod on our Reflection. Hard to believe that GD has not picked up on this as being an easy and important OEM improvement.

Yesterday my DH finally got around to installing a magnetic door stop after carrying it around with us for many months. We installed the magnetic part high up on the wall next to the curtain. I didn't want the vacuum cleaner to hit it if we placed it where they are usually located. So far it's one of my favorite modifications!

Great idea! I noticed it was hitting, but it was put further down on my list...then it got lost. Thanks for the memory jogger and the remedy.

Yup--I gotta install one of these this week too ! Papa Smurf--like the install on the floor rather than the wall which would leave the door open another couple or so inches.

Just got mine done. I couldn't put it on the floor as I had an extra lip on the ground. So I put it on the wall and it worked fine.
