I have a 2022 31G. I don't really use the awning much, but I've had some great weather lately and decided to use it. I've never had any issues in the past, but during a heavy rain last night, I tried to bring it in, and nothing happened. I know you can bring it in manually, but I was trying to find a fuse for the awning, and I'm having no luck. I found one for the rear one, but not the main one. I looked behind the control panel as I was told there was an inline fuse, but I couldn't find one in the spaghetti mess that GD made. The owner manual says I have a Solera awning, but nothing about fuses.

1. Where is the fuse for this located?

2. What could be the problem if not a fuse?

Thanx in advance for your time and support.

I think the moderators would prefer that you only post your problem/question in one forum, not multiple ones.

It is a Solera, just not that model. Can't find the fuse for it. :(

Could you post a picture of the label on the awning arm? It should have the Solera model number on it.

Also, reach out to GD customer service using your VIN. They may be able to help. I've also had good luck with Lippert support, they make the Solera awnings for GD.

One last point: the awning can be retracted manually using a drill or similar. The manual I linked above has instructions for most Solera awnings.

That requires a deep well socket, Gary had to run to a hardware store to find one because the deep well he had wasn't deep enough and I think...emphasis on think.. It was a12 point socket. Pressure was on we had to vacate the site in a couple hours. Turning it by hand could take all day long

Just an accident, bro. I thought I did this in another thread. Catch more fish with more lines out. Thanx.

Double-posting violates site rules, so post an issue in one thread only, please. (Also, thread moved to General Tech Topics).

Many models have fuses for the awnings behind the control panel where the rocker switches are (I know - doesn't make sense). If you've exhaused all other options, check there.

Finally, some forum posting tips:

1) If you use "Reply With Quote" (to the right of "Reply") as I have here, folks will know to whom you are responding and that person will get a notification.

2) You can also tag folks using the "@" symbol and their user name (as I have done yours) - they'll also get a notification that way.

3) You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

Note: you'll need to have a paid subscription to add an image to your signature.

We recently made a trip to the service center. While there, our awning stopped working. It was just the switch. You can swap the wires with the know working switch to see if the issue followed the switch.
