Finally, someone’s towing speed based on MPG. 67-69 works best for us. Our MLE is set up as good as it gets, IMHO. I could pull it a lot faster while throwing coin out the window.65-68 is the sweet spot for mpg in my dually.

My setup tips the scale at 44,000lbs. I have many commercial rigs that top out at 80,000lbs leave me in the dust all the time. Our truck and trailer weights are almost identical so the 5th wheel does not push the Volvo down the road like it would a pickup. I am running disk brakes on both truck and camper so stopping is very quick and straight. I see 3/4 ton pickups pulling the same 5th wheel fly by me also. To each their own. Thanks to @JKellerJr for whipping out the Carlin reference.
On this topic, one of my most favorite (and subtle) posts in this forum is from @Crazybanshee in the thread
What MPH do you tow your rig ??
Wondering how fast the knowledgeable members here at the forum tow their coach while on the highway ??www.mygrandrv.com

We have the same set-up....and generally we're at 65-70 mph and feel pretty comfortable most of the time. Head winds and the terrain can take their toll on mpg of course. Might have to re-visit our weight distribution hitch though. Got the Anderson w/chains, but not sure if it's doing the job 100%We have a 22MLE trailer and an F250 tow truck. While I know that the paperwork states a safe max tow speed of 55.... not sure that is going to be optimal out West this summer. Thus, what is a reasonable, safe speed to pull this trailer? Those small wheels do concern me...
