Can anyone tell me what the max tongue weight is for a 2022 Grand Design 2500RL. I don't want to stress the frame.

My GVWR is 7495 and I have 3500lbs axles, but how much weight can my tongue handle safely I figure I want to have to tongue weight between 10 and 15% of the GVWR and I would like to be closer to the 15% but is that safe for the frame. I am towing with an F-250, with a payload capacity of 3400lbs, so I am good there.

Thanks

Scott

If you look on top of your trailer's hitch coupler you should see that rating stamped into it. Ours says 14,000#. However, there's nothing that I'm aware of stating the rating of the A frame itself. But if you stay around the guidelines, it shouldn't be an issue. I've been running at 17% when I carry full water which is fairly often since we boondock a fair amount. We have 15,000 miles on the trailer to date. I also don't have to worry about hitch weight with the F350. We also run a bit heavy on the trailer when carrying water onboard. I have started putting blue jugs in the truck bed and carrying 16 - 20 gallons in the tank (half full or just under) just to reduce the weight in the trailer.
