All over - Full-timing
Well, I said when I had time, I would try to visit the "desktop" version of the forum. This is one of those rare times that I have a little time to burn.

I really miss all the posts and advice and really hope that the forum gets a mobile app. Until then, I have allowed my paid membership to expire.

If you need to reach out to me, PM me since that is probably the only way I will get an email notification (as I have tried to turn off all the other email notifications since I get WAY too much email in the first place.)

Hope everyone is doing good and still hanging in there.

We are back in Florida and might be heading to Tampa for the RV show again. It depends on how the wife's knee feels and if she is willing to rent a scooter for the day. (She says it might be too much on her knees to be getting up and down from the scooter, just to walk up stairs into a coach.)

We are here so she can get her knee replaced. We hope to be back at Johnson Creek RV Resort in Ingram, TX (North of Kerrvile, TX, which is about an hour North of San Antonio) in April for the eclipse.

Safe travels everyone and we will see you on the road!

Hi! Nice you see you dropping in, maybe give the mobile version here a shot, you might get used to it.

If you make it to the show let us know, well be going again this year. Maybe attempt another meet up.

It's not the mobile version that I have a problem with, it's the lack of notifications on my mobile device. Those are a lot easier to "swipe away" than to have to go into every email notification to take a lookie-loo into what it's notifying me about.

With Tapatalk (I understand the risks with it, so we won't go there), I could subscribe to a topic and be notified of new posts within that topic. When I received the notification of a new post and it was something I wasn't interested in, I would just swipe away the notification and go about my day, even if there were 10+ notifications, it was much easier to handle the notifications that way, then to get all the emails about new posts. I THINK I might get emails with someone quotes me, but I'm not sure, and I'm not going to actually check that right now.

As for the show, sure! If we do make it, we will definitely let y'all know! I will also PM you with my contact information when we know whether or not we are going.

Sounds good ! (did you get a notification email for this quote ?)

As for notifications you could unsubscribe to threads and just check for replies in the new post section. It would be nice to see you hanging out here again.

A few thoughts about notifications & email...

First, I have turned off just about all email notifications from most places (including here). Even as a moderator the only emails I get are for reported posts but not any push notifications for those. In general, I opt for few push notifications; I detest hearing phones of folks who get constant alerts for all sorts of non-sense.

What about subscribing to threads you are interested in and only getting a weekly update?

Or subscribe to threads but select to only get notifications "Through Control Panel Only"? And then use the desktop version on a mobile device. I know it ain't pretty, but I never use the mobile site on my phone instead I opt for the full site and I can go directly to my notifications there.
