I have a 2022 399th. The hydraulic couch side slide does not extend to seal on both sides, there is just over a 3/4 inch gap on the rear side, while the front side is flush. When retracted the rear outside side has about a 1/2 gap while the front is flush.

Is this as simple as just realigning the outside via the adjustment bolt attached to the slide. Or do I have a problem with the rails?

It could be either......an adjustment issue or a rail tooth issue. The first place I would start is to position the slide so that you have access to all the adjustment bolts under the slide and check ALL of them for tightness. Loose bolts probably mean an adjustment is needed. Bolts that are rock solid/tight suggests that the adjustment has not changed but may the rail teeth/cog has slipped or jumped by one or two teeth. Lippert does have several videos on adjustments, if it comes to that.

Did this problem just start or has it been like this for some time?......in other words, was it good at some point in time?

I actually don't know, this is a new to me. So it is possible was ok before.

I checked all the bolts, no sign of loose or slippage. Was hoping for a quick fix, but looks like the coraplast is coming off.

Is it possiable just to jump teeth, or is it more likely to break them? I can drop the coraplast and inspect the gear pack for breakage, but what is the process for getting it back in sync. But if it is likely to have stripped a gear, I would like to order the parts before I take it off.

My gut says extend it and measure from the inside and sync the rail first. Then do the adjustments for the outer seal

I think I saw somewhere?? you might try counting the teeth on each rail. Start at the end of the rail and count back to where the cog engages....should be equal on both rails. Something else to check, especially if you end up taking the Coroplast down, is to make sure the hydraulic cylinder mounting is all nice and tight.

So went back underneath and it looks like it was readjusted, no scrape marks as i would expect to see if it had slipage, or was loose. looking at this i would say moving it back would fix my interior seal, but would that make my exterior seal worse?

Before you make any adjustment, that picture that you have above, is normal on almost all of them. GD buys the slide assemblies from Lippert and then builds whatever slide they are going to put on whatever model trailer. So when the bare slide assembly arrives from Lippert, it has been painted by THEM. After GD completes the build and puts the slide into the trailer they are building, they adjust the slide properly......and that's why you see the bare spot of no paint.

Thanks, I think I'll wait until I talk to gd, I have no problem doing the work, just would like the proper troubleshooting process.

In the mean time, you might want to do a google search for the lippert videos on youtube (I believe) and see the adjustment procedures and methods, and what to look for and do.
