Multiple Furrion 16CF 12volt refrigerators that stopped cooling

We have a 2024 303 RLS that came off the assembly line 4/2/24. We picked it up from the dealer on 4/22/24. The original Furrion 16CF 12v refrigerator lasted 2 weeks and stopped cooling, fault code ER FF. Our dealer contacted the factory and they sent out a new one. It took 2 weeks to get to our dealer. They installed it in 1 day for us. After about exactly 2 weeks this new one stopped cooling and set the same code ER FF. Does anyone have 1 that has lasted longer than 2 weeks? So back to the dealer Monday.

The fridge has been out for many years so I am quite sure many have had them last longer than 2 weeks

We have that frig in our coach. It has worked well for over three years. However, these frigs are known to have a strong sensitivity to voltage fluctuations. Are you sure you've never had times when the battery was low? It's recommended to turn the frig off when not in use. That being said, we run ours continuously all season since we keep it stocked between trips.

Have you seen this Furrion bulletin:

We do not have that issue with ours but this bulletin is good to know. Thanks for sharing.

The batteries have never been low. Since this is a 12 volt RV fridge and is going to be subject to the current state of battery charge when traveling or boondocking you hope it is not that sensitive. We have been plugged in every trip so far and we have a Progressive Industries EMS and no power supply warnings or concerns. We use the RV every other weekend so we leave it run all the time. I would think restarting in every other week would be harder on it than letting it run.

I'm tired of fridge problems and Furrion. I would like to just buy one from a different manufacturer and be done with furrion.

We recently returned to our property in Colorado where our coach resides in the summer and, although the coach was plugged in to shore power the entire two weeks we were gone, and at 9,000 ft the warmest temperature was probably 80 degrees in the coach, the unit had gone in to shutoff mode. The reset procedure (completely disconnecting power from the unit) worked as described in the service bulletin but all the food we left behind was ruined (and some had become somewhat aromatic). Several have stated that a switch to LiIon batteries help alleviate this issue as the 12V circuit becomes more stable. We will be trying that once we move the coach back from its summer home. In lieu of that solving the problem, we will be finding a different 12V refrigerator.

Just an update. We have brought our unit back to Texas and it is sitting in the driveway plugged in to shore power. The battery had been upgraded to a 100aH LiTime Lifepo4 battery and the Bluetooth app on the battery is showing 100% SOC. However, my wife checked this morning and the refrigerator has gone in to low voltage mode (we did have about a 30 second power outage two nights ago). At this point, I am going to call Furrion and see what they offer but we are strongly leaning toward just giving up on these units and finding something as a replacement we can trust.

Let me know how the search goes, I also am looking for a solid residential style fridge that is a counter depth unit @10cu.ft.

If you ever read any of previous posts, you can tell I am no fan of the Furrion 16 cu ft refrigerators. IMO, it maybe a great idea for towing the trailer but it is a horrible idea for a parked trailer.
I had this refrigerator in my 2022 Reflection 315 RLTS. It would constantly go out. It would blow the 40 amp fuse or it not be running when I got to the trailer for reasons unknown. This trailer burned down and I will always believe it because of the Furrion refrigerator.
I now have the same refrigerator in my 2024 Reflection. As soon as this refrigerator stops working it is going in the burn pit! I will not spend 2 seconds trying to fix it or determine what is wrong with it.
I will then replace it with this model:

Sorry you having problems with yours too.

Just an update on our refrigerator saga. Although our one year warranty on the refrigerator expired in April of this year, I decided to reach out to Furrion and see what they might say. After exchanging a few emails, they wanted me to take a picture of a control board to verify what version I had. They indicated they felt the control board was the issues and seemed to imply they were aware of issues with certain control boards. When I went to take a picture of the control board, I also found that the wires going to the control board were singed. Upon seeing these singed wires and the model of my control board, they recommended I replace my refrigerator. A refrigerator that is 18 months old, probably only used seriously for a total of 3 months and seems to retail for about $2,500. I sent back my dissatisfaction with this response and pointed out the singing of the wires appears to be a result of insufficient wire diameter used in the initial build. I am waiting their reply and continuing to look at possibly buying another brand of 12v refrigerator.

They sent me to the parts department to buy one ($250), but then said they recommended replacing the whole refrigerator as a result of the singed wires. Still an option if I can also buy a new control board connector and replaced the singed wire section inside the fridge.

The picture I sent Furrion.

That is beyond singed. Yikes

Scary stuff
Obviously more juice going through that wire than they thought would

I am assuming they are the wires that go from the control board to the fan. I am surprised a 12v fan would result in this kind of current draw. My experience with these types of fans (mostly in other applications) is they draw less than a quarter amp.
