Does anyone else use a,,, shurtrax,,, portable water bladder?

Mine is still in great shape after about 16 years. They are sold in different capacities. I came across it years ago looking for temp bed weight for winter traction. Its been frozen full, solid a number of times when i used it for bed weight in the winter before i got a chance to empty it. The middle part did delaminate but the sides and filler neck are just as new.
I think mine is the 56 gallon one, and my fresh tank is said to hold 52 gallons. The second pic is whats left after filling the fresh tank from empty where the pump just started sucking air. So it seems to hold more than what it did when it had the laminated baffles in the middle.

Folds square about 20 inches by 20 inches, 5 inches thick, after first unpacked and used. I got it off Amazon. Seems to be about $170.

On my other camper i was able to siphon water flowing then fill the fresh tank, no pump needed. Now with the Nautilus 1 system, its different. Instead of using the camper pump to pump fill the fresh tank, i bought a spare pump and use it on the city fill the fresh tank setting. Gave me reason to buy a spare pump, can also be used to wash ( with permission ) at a campground with a no using there water to wash policy, by getting water someplace else.

I do love and normally just use full hookups as i full time, but when needed like now, in staying for sugar beet harvest hear way up north, the water is shut off at the campground so one needs to get water, or use the bath house. I like to use my own shower and toylet.

Tanks filling up...................

I like full hookups, but have at rare times needed to use my 42 gallon blue boy for grey and or black.
Right now, im at full hookups, helping harvest, less the city water hookup.
My summer place, hear/now, depending how fast it gets cold. The water gets shut off and blown out. Except for the bath house and dump station. They are buried deeper for said frost. So when harvest is over, those get shut off and blown out. In the spring water on depends on the frost, it can go 4 feet deep no problem hear. So one might need to get water in the spring.

So, grey and black go down the normal sewer hookup, hear/now.

Hear/now, its sugar beet harvest. I pay and stay a little longer, to help a very large farm.
Others come in to work for Crystal Sugar company and stay at the campground. They, get water delivered from a truck as part of there package.
I just get water at the farm or stop at the dump station and get city water there.
For any dump station comments,,,, i use my own fresh water hose to fill my water bladder.................

So, i left for the migration south for the winter yesterday, and it rained in the morning, so the pickup and camper got dirty first thing.
I am at a state park for a couple nights up northish, so the water is turned off to sites, but is available. I asked if i could wash my dirty camper an pickup with filling the water bladder,,, yep.
I washed the camper, pickup and had water to top off the fresh tank and do 2 loads of laundry.
The shurflow pump works perfect for washing the camper hooked to a hose sucking out of the bladder.

One small caution. All these RV water pumps have a fairly short life. Limit usage or carry a spare or just be prepared for it to die.

That is the spare, im not using the camper one, i bought one just to fill the camper instead of using the pump with the nautilus system when not hooked up to city water.

A bladder and a dedicated pump are a good pair to help in working with water supply when there are no hookups.

I had a bladder many years ago and used it for several years until it got a large slice in it. Just for the heck of it I cut it completely open and was shocked by the mold and slime that were built up, especially in the corners and along the seams. It was rinsed and cleaned after every trip and sanitized a few times but still harbored gross crap. No more bladders for me!
I now use a 35 gallon fresh water tank that I can reach inside and completely clean and thoroughly dry.

Mine seems to be clean. The fill empty part is clear plastic, its in one of the corners, i have never seen any crap, mold nothing floating around or coming out of it. I drink out of the fresh tank, no strange smells and never had any type of stuff in my pump screen.
