Mystery mark on the door side of my Reflection

Can anyone tell me what might have caused this?

Is there a repair for it?

Looks like an impact mark from something.

A good body shop can do a fiberglass repair and paint match.

A bad body shop can stick a reflector over it...LOL

Any worries of the elements getting behind it and causing further issues?

At this point, you can seal it with silicone until a repair can be made.

They should grind/cut out the impacted area and repair before painting.

No it's to low on the body for that.

Around me, you never know what going to reach out from the side of the road... I've come around the bend, many times, and found a tree half into the lane. Plenty of woody shoulder growth here too. Couple years ago a piece of rusty rebar was sticking past the white line at chest height and decided it liked the mirror on my other truck. In 2013, my 3 week old 2014 RAM Sport lost the bumper, air dam, and front suspension when a 1" steel plate came off a truck at 65mph... My point, did this happen while on the road?
