My wife and I are currently staying in an RV park near Sanford, NC, our new house is being built and won't be ready until end of January. My problem where I am no Cable or WI FI available. My hot spot on my AT&T, well lets just say dial up would be quicker. Only really need it for 3 months as we don't travel that often. Have looked on Starlink website a little when I can get on. What exactly would i need, don't use it for business or work. Not on the internet a real lot. Have a 2023 GD Reflection 270BN if that helps with a winegard+ 360 installed . Wasn't sure if that would work with a router since AT&T reception is lousy here. Thanks all in advance, keep in mind when answering I am not that tech savvy.

I bought a mini last spring during our Alaska trip. Everything I need was included for stationary use. For mounting to the truck I bought a mag mount from Amazon. Most of the time we just leave it on the truck when traveling with our TT.

Consider getting the 12v cigarette adapter. On my truck the 12vdc is always active. The 120vac is only active with the engine running.

You could start with the 50 GB plan, and if it's not enough, upgrade as needed. Starlink prorates, so you don't lose the $ you already paid.

There is no need to link the starlink to the winegard or any other hotspot. It has it's own WiFi router.

At the end of three months you sell it off.

We bought the mini for traveling. We have the $50 plan, overage charges are very reasonable. We had some streaming issues when overhead obstructions were present.
We purchased a small tripod off Amazon to keep the dish off the ground. The Starlink package comes with a 50’ cord and a 120 volt power supply. We plug up inside the pass- thru. The signal is wireless from dish to your device. It can be hardwired with an additional cord.
Shortly after buying our unit the pause feature (no charge) was eliminated and a stand-by mode was offered when you were not going to be using the device. This is $5 a month with very low power. Switching from one plan to another is very easy.

If you're not streaming much then the Mini would do the trick. 50GB free then $1GB after that. We just bought one this summer. Love it. If you have a wide open sky where you're at then just point it towards N and once it's finished setting itself up then check the alignment on the app.

We switched to Starlink earlier this year and used it (heavily) for out 6 months of travel. We liked it. so much so that I now have my Dish antenna and receiver up for sale.

We had worry free internet whenever we wanted it. We could watch TV, cruise the internet, use YouTube, etc.

If you are worried about how much data you need, you can start with the 50G plan and always upgrade.

We have the G3 antenna, not the mini. Friend (who claims not to use internet a lot) got the mini and now wishes he got the G3.

Be sure to compare the connection options between the mini and the G3. You may like one setup better than the other.
